I decided to start keeping track of my Hackintosh adventures. I currently have an Asus P5K-VM and a Gigabyte GA-G31M-ES2L (rev. 2.x).
The first is my own system, the second I had my father put together then I installed the software side of things. There is a 3rd, the first generation, an E-Machine I found by luck at my local Dumpster*Mart on the way home from work a few years ago; this one was replaced by my fathers current system.
Both of the new systems are low-profile builds with Micro-ATX cases, this limited my choices in motherboards and GPUs.
In 2007 I bought my first MacBook, in 2009 I bought my first Mac Mini. I built these Hack systems for fun, nothing will ever replace my love for the boot sound you only get with a Mac. But for those Intel Core-based windows groupies, you might give it a try, you might find yourself in the Apple Store yourself.
